MCC Recycling Services, LLC a New Jersey Company has announced today that it has received “Patent Pending” status, from the USPTO, Alexandria, Virginia on their Self- Contained Mobile Shredding Unit, and will begin production immediately.

MCC is excited to enter the mobile shredding business using their existing rolloff fleet of trucks. The first mobile shredding unit is expected to be in operation in early November and will be used exclusively by MCC. Orders are now being taken for the public to purchase the units.

MCC remains in discussions over the decision to market the design to distributors.

Description of MCC’s mobile shredding unit:

The MCC mobile shredding unit (“unit”) does not require a running truck. The shredding unit is mounted inside of an enclosed rolloff container. A rolloff container is defined as a steel container that can be picked up and transported by a rolloff truck. The most common existence in use today for rolloff containers are the dumpsters that are used for trash.

The container is divided, by a full partition wall, into two sections. The front section contains the shredder, the infeed hopper, a pneumatic blower for particle extraction and a “man door” where the operator enters the container carrying the documents to be shredded. The second section is for the collection of the shredded paper via ducting from the blower, and has a full length and width rear door that opens for dumping of the shredded paper when full. The shredder is spun by an electric motor that is powered by a diesel generator mounted outside the front section, on the floor, or frame of the rolloff container.

This method for mobile shredding is superior to any other because each unit is self contained. Each unit is equipped with an approved diesel full storage tank and the necessary electrical components to operate. The unit does not require a running truck to operate and therefore is more fuel efficient, requires less maintenance costs, and bears no mandatory automobile insurance. There is also no high-pressure hydraulic systems to fail or leak onto customer’s property.

The units may be delivered to office buildings or job sites where a large amount of document destruction services are needed. The operator then stays with the unit to complete the job, while the truck and driver are free to leave and complete other tasks. A vendor can successfully run a document destruction business with multiple units, and only one truck.
